Exchange 2013 – MessageTracking

By using Exchange Powershell.


Get-MessageTrackingLog   -Parameters. . .


[-EventId <String>]

[-InternalMessageId <String>]

[-MessageId <String>]

[-MessageSubject <String>]

[-Recipients <String[]>]

[-Reference <String>]

[-Sender <String>]

[-DomainController <Fqdn>]

[-End <DateTime>]

[-ResultSize <Unlimited>]

[-Server <ServerIdParameter>]

[-Start <DateTime>]




Get any message from specific sender to specific recipients:

[PS] Get-MessageTrackingLog -Sender [email protected] -Recipients [email protected]

Get any message between specific duration and export it in html format:

[PS] Get-MessageTrackingLog -Start “03/13/2014 09:00:00” -End “03/13/2014 09:10:00” | ConvertTo-Html > “C:\MyDocuments\message track.html”

With “Format-List” you can Identify proprieties to be displayed  on the output:

[PS] Get-MessageTrackingLog -Sender [email protected] -Recipients [email protected] |  Format-List OriginalClientIp

With “select” you  specified properties of an object or set of objects (Only Printing the value)

[PS] Get-MessageTrackingLog -Sender [email protected]  | select OriginalClientIp
